Most founders ask me the same question. Is a Burj Khalifa shoot even possible? Yes, when the light, access, location requirements, and brief line up. Here is how I plan the timing and direction.
The location nobody fights for.
The obvious frame is not always the useful one. I look for an angle that keeps the Burj at scale behind you, leaves room around the portrait, and gives the image enough clarity to work across your channels.
Why I plan around first light.
I run these shoots at first light. The reasons are practical. The light is warm and angled, not the midday flat that washes out skin. The beach is quieter. You leave with the city behind you before most of the city is even up. Location requirements vary, so any permission needed for the brief must be confirmed before the shoot.
